Hi everyone-

I'm adding testimonials to the Discover NJCU website from students who have taken the course: Using the Interent in Education. If you would be willing to share your experience and/or reflection, please post it to this discussion thread or email me (include your name and school if I can publish that as well).

It will be published here: http://web.njcu.edu/sites/discover/Content/testimonials.asp

Hi Dr. Z., Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share my experience in the course "Using the Internet in Education. I wanted to let you know some good news. I have been discussing all the innovated things we have learned
throughout this class with the assistant superintendent and district
tech supervisor of my school. They sent me to iMac workshops and
Advance Promethean Board workshops this summmer. They had the
opportunity to view my digital story and love the idea of having the
students create digital stories in the classroom, they also want me to
persue podcasting and I am working on the administrators to accept
blogging. E-chalk has a discussion section that is blogging and I know
this will work in the class. They are also excited about using an e-pal
with the classes. Grabe (textbook for this class) gives us so many usable examples. I will continue to use this book as a reference guide for using internet in the class.
They just informed me today that I will be receiving (through a grant
for my ELL students) an entire iMac cart filled with 30 iMac notebooks, a
printer, digital camer and video camera. Dr. Z. I can't tell you how
excited I am and also realize how fortunate I am too! Taking this class opened us a whole new side of teaching I will be applying this school year.

Just want to say Thank You for sharing all the "Extras" in class to help
us use technology in the classroom.
