Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pearce, LLC, doing business as TeachAde ("TeachAde," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit TeachAde.com, create an account, or use our educational community and related services.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, you may provide:

• Account information, such as your name, username, email address, password, mailing address or location, and profile photograph.
• Educational and professional information, such as your school, district, institution, grade levels, subjects, interests, affiliations, and professional background.
• Content and communications, including resources, groups, comments, messages, calendar information, colleague connections, and other material you submit.
• Support and contact information when you contact us, report a concern, or complete a survey or form.
• Deal-program information, such as contact details, mailing address, vehicle interests, and the participating dealership you select when requesting a vehicle voucher.
• Transaction information associated with a purchase or order, excluding complete payment-card details processed directly by a payment provider.

Information collected automatically

Our servers and service providers may collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, access times, cookie identifiers, and security or diagnostic logs.

Facebook login

If you sign in with Facebook, Meta provides information permitted by your settings and authorization, such as your Facebook account identifier, name, profile picture, and email address. TeachAde does not receive your Facebook password. You can manage this connection through Facebook and your TeachAde account.

2. How we use information

We may use information to:

• Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account.
• Provide profiles, resources, groups, colleague connections, messages, search, workspaces, and other requested features.
• Process support inquiries, account changes, and data-deletion requests.
• Generate requested vehicle vouchers and connect users with their selected dealership.
• Operate, troubleshoot, analyze, secure, and improve TeachAde.
• Prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Use.
• Send service notices and communications you request or can unsubscribe from.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect users, TeachAde, and others.

3. Public content and community features

Information you place in a public profile, resource, group, comment, or other public area can be seen, copied, or used by others. Do not post personal or sensitive information that you do not want made public. Private messages are not intended to be public, but may be accessed when reasonably necessary for security, support, legal compliance, or enforcement of our rules.

4. Cookies and similar technology

TeachAde uses cookies and similar technology for sign-in, sessions, language preferences, security, and site functionality. We and our service providers may also use limited analytics or diagnostic technology. You may block cookies through your browser, but some features may not work correctly.

5. CAPTCHA and abuse prevention

Some forms may use Google reCAPTCHA or a similar service to reduce spam and abuse. That provider may receive technical information such as your IP address, device information, cookies, and interaction data, subject to its own privacy terms.

6. How we disclose information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose information:

• At your direction: vehicle-voucher information may be sent to the dealership you select and TeachAde personnel administering the program.
• To service providers: companies supporting hosting, email, security, authentication, CAPTCHA, analytics, storage, payment processing, or other operations.
• Publicly: when you publish content or profile information in public areas.
• For legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, enforce agreements, investigate misuse, or protect rights, property, or safety.
• In a business transaction: during a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar event, subject to applicable law.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by the information and its purpose.

When an account is closed, we will delete or de-identify account information where reasonably possible, subject to legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping requirements. Public contributions may remain but may be disassociated from the closed account. Required transaction records may also be retained.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may review or update available profile information through your account and close it through account settings. If you cannot access your account, or wish to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information, email [email protected].

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have additional privacy rights. We may verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may be used where permitted. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable right.

You may unsubscribe from optional marketing email using the instructions in the message. We may still send essential service, account, security, or legal notices.

9. Age requirement and children

You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a TeachAde account. TeachAde is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Educational resources may be useful to students, but account creation and interactive community participation are limited to people age 13 or older.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact [email protected]. We will investigate and take appropriate steps to delete it. Users ages 13 through 17 should use TeachAde with the involvement of a parent, guardian, teacher, or school as appropriate.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your password confidential, use a unique password, and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

11. Third-party services and links

TeachAde may link to or interact with services operated by Meta, Google, participating dealerships, stores, payment providers, and other third parties. Their own policies govern their privacy practices. A link from TeachAde does not mean we control or endorse those practices.

12. International use

TeachAde is operated in the United States. If you access it from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in TeachAde, our practices, or applicable requirements. We will post the revision and update its effective date. Material changes may receive additional notice through the site or by email when appropriate.
