Great lesson plan! Focusing on relevant environmental issues really engages students. To add some fun, you could even incorporate a digital element. Imagine students creating short, persuasive videos about local issues, using editing software similar to what's used in [Moto X3M](https://motox3mfree.io/). This could boost creativity and digital literacy alongside persuasive writing skills.
