    Usage Information Automatically Collected:

    We may also ask that you separately register or provide additional personally identifiable information to access certain specific products, services or tools or to participate in or access certain activities while visiting the Site (e.g., The TeachAde Store http://www.educational-resources-store.com/, which is hosted on a different Site).

    TeachAde.com uses the information it receives and collects, including personally identifiable information, for several purposes, such as for use in its internal business operations and planning, to understand more about users' interests, to communicate with you, and to provide you with a better experience when visiting the Site by personalizing tools, content, services and e-mail messages. We also use this information to create new services that we believe may be relevant and valuable to you. Please be advised that this Site archives information that it collects from and that is provided, by users and visitors to the Site.

    We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their promotional purposes. We may share your information in the following ways:

In addition, we may occasionally utilize such Public Content in other areas of the Sites, (e.g. featured members, lesson plan displays) and/or in promotions. In such cases, we may provide authorship credit by publishing the author's member name.

    2. Surveys and Polls:

      Occasionally, TeachAde.com and/or Affiliated Third Parties may conduct online surveys or polls on the Site. For example, while navigating within the Site, you may see a pop-up window or announcement offering you the optional opportunity of participating in such a survey or poll. These activities are entirely voluntary. If you do not wish to participate, simply click the "No, Thank You" or similar link and you will not see the window again. We will not use, and will not provide or make available to any Affiliated Third Party, your email address in order to announce or conduct an online survey or poll. If you elect to participate, you will be asked for your opinions on various issues, and occasionally you may be asked to provide demographic information, such as your zip code, age, or gender. By choosing to participate, you agree that any information you provide as a part of such survey, or poll may be shared with Affiliated Third Parties including market-research firms, or the third parties with whom we are conducting the survey or poll. The information collected will not be subject to the Privacy Policy, but instead will be used, stored and disclosed in the manner advised during such survey or poll, the terms and conditions of which shall supersede the Privacy Policy. Some survey answers may be added to your member portrait in order to better provide you with content, ads and offers that are appropriate for you.

    3. Sweepstakes and Contests:

      Occasionally, you may be offered the opportunity to participate in a sweepstakes or contest by our Site, or an Affiliated Third Party under our direction, while accessing the Site. Such opportunities will appear or be made available to you through the Site.     4. Legal Request and Corporate Change:

      We may disclose information about you, including personally identifiable information to third parties, if we feel such disclosure is necessary, or appropriate to: (a) comply with a subpoena, judicial proceeding, court order or other legal process; (b) To protect the legal & property rights of TeachAde, or in protecting the safety of users'. © limit our potential legal liability; (d) enforce other policies that are part of the Site; (e) comply with an audit request; or (f) pay royalties or fees to third parties.     5. Geographic Dissemination of Information:

      Information that you submit via our web site is stored on servers located in the United States. We may wish to export certain personal information to Affiliated Third Parties and to third party organizations located in countries outside the United States and the European Economic Area (EEA) in order to provide you with services and information. When you submit personal information to through our Site, you understand and agree that this information may be transferred across national boundaries and may be stored and processed in another country which may not provide privacy protections similar to those your country provides.

    When you select to tell a friend about our Site via email or any other sharing mechanism presented on our Site, we shall use your name and email to send your email to the designated party. We do not use this third party personally identifiable information for any other purposes beyond fulfilling your request.

  5. Security of Your Information

    The security of your personal information is of great importance to us and we employ industry accepted standards to protect it. We store your information on limited access servers. In order to access certain features of the Site, you will be required to provide a user name and password. To protect the security of your account, you should not disclose your user name or password to any third party.   6. Data Retention.

    TeachAde.com shall retain your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested. We will remove it in the event that the purpose for which it was originally collected has been met, or in the case of your subscription to our email alert system, you advise us that you no longer wish to receive this service.


    For removal of all associated data, you can choose to close your account. This removes as much of your data from the TeachAde databases as is possible.


    Information that will be removed with account closure includes:

    • Your Name
    • Your Email Address
    • Your Password
    • Your Wishlist
    • Your Location
    • Your Affiliations, including Grades, Districts, and Institutions
    • Jobs that you listed
    • Your Facebook ID

    Information that will not be removed with account closure includes:
    • User Generated Content, such as:
      • Comments
      • Resources
      • Groups
      • Messages
      • Calendars
      • Colleague Lists
    • Order Information

    Note: While user generated content will not be deleted, associations with said content are reduced or removed.
    This includes the transfer of ownership of resources and groups to the TeachAde user.

  7. User Ability to Access, Update and Correct Personal Information

    You may review and update the personally identifiable information that you provided to us as part of the registration process by clicking on the "My Account" icon on the left of your screen. We ask that you periodically review such information to keep it current and accurate.

  8. Children

    TeachAde.com does not encourage participation or visitation to the Site by children. Further, this Site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

  9. Opt Out/Opt In

    Upon registration or from time to time, you may be asked to indicate whether you are interested in receiving information from us, or Affiliated Third Parties via email about special offers, or news about our Site and advertisers. You may also be provided with the opportunity to opt-in to receive offers directly from certain Affiliated Third Parties. If you choose to receive these communications by means of an opt-in, we, or Affiliated Third Parties shall occasionally send you e-mail messages, or other communications that match your request(s). You may choose not to receive such information from us, or Affiliated Third Parties by not opting in to receive such information.     Parts of the Site include hyperlinks to the sites of other companies. When you leave the Site to visit one of these web sites, the only information transferred to the third party is the fact that you came from a Site. This practice allows the third party to monitor its own web site traffic, but does not provide it with any information about you. TeachAde.com is not responsible or liable for the content on these other web sites, and your use of these sites is subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies.     We shall from time to time, update or modify this Privacy Statement. Please check this page on the Site periodically. Should we change the Privacy Policy in any material respect, or change the manner in which we shall use your personal information submitted on our Site, not previously disclosed, we will provide you with notice by email or on our Site and give you the opportunity to opt out.
