TeachAde: The Most Helpful Teacher Site?
I just wanted to share a few thoughts on helpful teacher sites I’ve found with the visitors here on Teachade.com. Teachade is a great resource and is one of the best teacher websites I’ve found. I’ve been operating TutorMatch.com for almost a year now, and since one of my site’s target demographics is teachers I thought it might be a good idea to start a blog here.
What do you look for in a Teacher Web Site?
While my site TutorMatch offers a way for teachers to make money in their spare time as a tutor, it doesn’t offer any services or resources directly for teachers, so it doesn’t really qualify as a teacher web site. Teachade, however, offers a wide range of services for teachers. I would probably call it the best, if not the only, social networking platform for teachers on the web today. No other site is offering communities, groups, blogs, scheduling calendars, and the other services that Teachade is offering - all targetted specifically for teachers.
While other websites for teachers may have some of these services, such as a forum, or shared lessons plans, I’ve never found one which offers everything all in one place. I plan to keep my eye on Teachade to see how it grows, because it looks like it promises to be a great resource for educators!
